Weather & Safety Policy
The safety and well-being of every dog is our top priority. Training sessions may be adjusted, rescheduled, or suspended based on weather conditions to ensure safe working environments.
Outdoor training will be suspended during thunderstorms or severe weather conditions. In cases of elevated heat, sessions will be modified based on both ambient temperature and ground surface temperatures. On an 85°F day, common training surfaces can reach significantly higher temperatures—concrete and asphalt often exceed 120–140°F, while sand and synthetic turf can range from 110–150°F depending on sun exposure.
Temperatures above 90°F or below 32°F may result in shortened session durations, relocation to safer surfaces, and increased hydration and recovery breaks. These adjustments are made to prevent paw pad injury, overheating, and environmental stress, ensuring all dogs remain safe and capable of productive training.
